When a payment gateway goes down or a service disruption hits, customers open a chat session looking for answers. Until now, the only way to get a notice in front of them was to wait on a deployment. That process is too slow for real-time issues. The result: avoidable inbound from customers who just didn't know what was going on.

Starting today, support teams can publish an Urgent Notice directly from the AI Agent dashboard with no deployment required. The notice appears as the first message customers see when they open a new chat session. The AI agent continues handling conversations as normal after the notice is shown.

How it works

  • No deployment required: Publish directly from AI Agent Settings. It takes effect immediately, no engineering ticket needed.
  • Notice appears first, agent keeps going: The notice is the first message customers see when they open a new session. The AI agent continues responding normally after that.
  • Context for the agent, not just customers: The Agent Context field is appended to the system prompt — the AI agent can answer related follow-up questions on the fly, not just display a static message.
  • Dashboard reflects what's live: When an Urgent Notice is active, the agent status updates to Active (Urgent Notice) — your team always knows what customers are seeing.
